Andy is a highly experienced business executive, who has held senior board roles in both listed and private companies, from start up to IPO and post IPO. Having years of experience in private equity, owner managed and listed business environments, Andy has built up a strong skill set in all forms of finance, different types of strategic planning and execution along with complex stakeholder situations. These include restructuring both operations and capital structure to ensure fit for purpose, as well as developing teams to meet changing commercial demands.

Earlier in his career Andy worked in two FTSE 100 businesses, in retail and finance, as well as in between these roles qualifying at KPMG as a chartered accountant. He then worked at British Aluminium in manufacturing and advanced material technology, covering multiple sectors, where he led the development and implementation of a new global MIS. Then as corporate finance manager, he worked on the Group’s breakup and sale to realise top quartile returns for its PE and Management investors.

Luxfer Group was born out of this major reorganisation and Andy joined its Executive Management Board at the start of 2016 as Director of Planning and Group Finance. In this position he played a central role in its recapitalisation, secondary buyout and profit transformation into a leading global material technology business. Andy transitioned into one of two Executive main board directors and CFO, listing the business on the NYSE in 2012, a transaction that enabled equity investors in 2007 to realise a 15 to 30 times return. He stayed on as an Executive Director post IPO for 5 years, implementing SOX, setting up IR and Internal Audit functions and overseeing Luxfer’s maturity as an establish listed business operating in 5 continents.

In the last two years Andy has established his own start-up venture capital business, from which IN4.0 Group was developed which has established training, consultancy and graduate development programs to enable Companies to take advantage on the new suite of Industry 4.0 digital technologies. A business Insider Magazine recently voted in the top 30 most exciting companies to follow.  As well as being Chairman at IN4.0 Group, he is also Chairman of the AIM listed Velocity Composites plc, where he is working with the management team to implement at transformational growth strategy in the providing the global aerospace market with composite kits and related supply chain solutions. Andy was also recently made a Fellow of The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), for his own contribution to these areas in his career.
