As well as being a Chartered Accountant, Mike is a highly experienced Financial and Strategic Consultant, Non-Executive Director and Business Coach/Mentor. He holds significant experience of M&A, transaction services and Private Equity projects.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, Mike went on to gain a wealth of experience in Entrepreneurial Services, Corporate Finance and Corporate Restructuring, including an 18 month secondment to NatWest Corporate Finance.  He then became Finance Director for a number of organisations in a variety of business sectors, before founding his consultancy services in 2006. Mike has been working with businesses across a wide range of sectors for many years, helping them to develop creative and workable strategies and supporting them to implement practical – and financially sound – solutions.

Mike’s knowledge is based on genuine experience in the real world, which has given him substantial credibility in the work that he delivers, as well as invaluable insight into ‘both sides of the table’ from a financial and strategic perspective.

In today’s increasingly demanding market and workplace, businesses need more than ever to plan where they’re going and to have smart strategies to meet objectives, increase value and manage change.  Mike’s expertise is focused on helping entrepreneurial businesses define, articulate, implement and measure performance against Business/Strategic Plans, including ensuring an appropriate and scalable financial structure is in place to enable the delivery of plans.

Mike also works with Boards to formulate and implement exit strategies and support them through a sale or purchase process; and frequently acts as a Non-Executive Director and/or coach and mentor.
